OSSO

There are often cute young women with blond hair in our Sacrament Meeting. They speak English and many of them are from Idaho. There is an organization created by a doctor who lives in Rexburg that provides support for orphanages in Ecuador. They have programs where individuals, groups and families can come and work with the children. Most of these girls stay for 2 or 3 months but they have people come for as little as one week and up to about 5 months. The girls are very enthused about what they are doing and loving it. I thought perhaps Jacey might like to write an article about this organization for the newspaper. Ariel is the girl on the right above. She said she would write to Jacey on Facebook and tell her about her experience. The name stands for orphanages support services organization but "osso" is bear in Spanish. Their logo is a teddy bear. The website is http://www.orphanagesupport.org/

I am enjoying your blog, Jeri. I love reading all the details and seeing the pictures. I wish we could see a video of your walk to work. The one you linked from the other couple's blog was no longer there when I tried to look at it. It sounds like a whole new world there in Ecuador!
